How to Make Our Go-to Foil Pack Dinner
Tin foil dinners are one of the easiest dinner recipes you can make, but there are a few key things to remember when assembling your meals. Here are the basic steps for mastering this family-favorite recipe:
- Lay out 4-6 sheets of tin foil (1 sq. ft.). Spray the sheets with cooking spray.
- Place chicken on the sheets. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Cook the rice. Once cooked, put the rice evenly distributed on top of the chicken.
- Drizzle with ranch and cheese to your desired preference.
- Layer broccoli on top and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
- Wrap the tin foil up and place on cookie sheet. Packets can vary in size, just make sure they’re sealed so the juices don’t flow out.
- Bake at 350 degrees for around 30 minutes. On a grill, cook on medium high for about 10-15 minutes each side, turning occasionally. Make sure the chicken has an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees. Depending on your ingredients and how hefty you create your packets, your cooking time will vary.
- Carefully open packets and garnish with cooked bacon!
- ENJOY!!!
You can cook them all at once or a few at a time, and there’s no mess or fuss whether you’re cooking on the grill or in the oven. There are so many great foil packet hobo dinner recipes and different combinations to try, this is just our personal favorite! Easy and delicious!
