Winter Wardrobe Essentials
Today, I’m excited to share with you three staples in my makeup drawer and closet during the Christmas season. These are items I always get asked about and they are such a simple way to add a pop of red to your wardrobe! My favorite winter wardrobe staples are scarves, boots and the perfect red lip!
The Perfect Red Lip
A couple weeks ago, I went on a quest to find the perfect red lip for the holidays and I found this *new to me* lipstick formula that stays on in the perfect shade! My favorite shades of red are the “dancer,” “pioneer,” and “voyager.” I have “dancer” on in this picture. I love the color and the way it is so easy to apply. It goes on like a liquid lipstick, has a matte look and stays on for a long time! I love putting this lip gloss over it if I want to add some sheen & moisture to it. They seem to work well together. I wear this gloss as part of my everyday makeup routine. As you know, I love a good bold lipstick. Some ladies have said to me they don’t think they could pull off a red lip, but I say, the bolder the better and CONFIDENCE is all you need. 😘 You’ve got this girl! Time to give it a try!
The Coziest Scarves
The next staple in my closet during winter time is this scarf! It’s a super cozy blanket scarf that can literally transform any outfit and give it more of a festive/ put together look. This scarf comes in several different colors and I love the way it compliments outfits so easily. You can see all the different color options here. These are so easy to throw on top of a sweater and jeans and they are all under $20! This would also be perfect for those ladies in your life who love cozy, comfy fashion and like to stay WARM! #idontdowinter 😂
Neutral Ankle Boots
The last winter time staple in my wardrobe is ankle boots!!! You can never go wrong with a pair of booties to complete your outfit. These are my go-to pair because they aren’t too high- but add just enough height… as I get older my heel height gets a little lower. 😜 I like how these pair so well with sweater dresses, jeans or leggings! I also found some other neutral ones I love here.
I’m all about warm, functional and EASY wardrobe options for winter. You can ask my husband, I hate to be cold and love finding all things warm and cozy!
I wanna know, what are your favorite winter wardrobe staples?
Hope you have an awesome Christmas and get to be close with friends, family and people you love. I’d love to connect with you over on instagram, if we haven’t yet! Let’s be friends. 😉
Cheers to the season,
