Pink and Gold Baby Girl Nursery Design

We are finally finished with Dottie’s nursery & I have to say, it’s one of my favorite spots in our house! After playing musical bedrooms trying to figure out rooms & sleeping arrangements for our oldest two, we finally decided to have them share a room (with fun bunk beds) and give Dottie a space of her own. I’m really glad we did. Here is how her pink, white and gold nursery turned out— perfect for a baby girl!

For this pink and gold nursery, we used most of what we had from when Audrey was a baby, with a few updates to make it less “princess” and more modern and contemporary with a simplistic, yet still glam design! One of my favorite features of her room is the gold floral accent wall with the light pink walls. We went with mostly white decor with gold elements/hardware details and added a rug & basket weave elements to add texture. We also updated the lighting fixture to a cute boho style light that went perfectly in her room!

The gold wallpaper is the gold foil design by Oh Joy for Hygge & West. For the crib we decided to go with this super contemporary minimal crib we found at Walmart by Delta Children. It’s a 6-in-1 convertible crib that can grow with her through different stages! We loved the cute, simple & modern design + the price point was 👌🏼. We have had it for a few months now & highly recommend it! Shop the crib by tapping here. We used super soft & stretchy crib sheets in the pink polka dot.

I knew I wanted a rug in here to layer over the carpet and found this beautiful ivory one from Amazon. It was a great price & love that it’s super easy to clean since it’s technically an indoor/outdoor rug. It added just the right texture & brightened up the space. We got the size 5 ft 2 in x 7 ft 6 in. Tap here to see current price!

We changed out the black hardware we had previously on this dress for these these gold and acrylic drawer pulls I found on Amazon! I love how they add a touch of feminine elegance!

I searched all over a pretty gold mirror to put on the changing table & I finally found the perfect one. I love the vintage design with the scroll details and it was a great price for such a pretty mirror. This best-selling Anthropologie mirror was my original inspiration, but was way out of our price range so I looked for a similar look for less. I think this was a pretty great find for way less expensive! Tap here for current price on Amazon. You can barely see it, but we also got a diaper caddy that carries diapers, wipes, creams, clippers, etc. I loved the fringe & dividers to keep it all organized.

We got the changing pad from Plum & Sparrow, but it goes in & out of stock, so I’ll link one super similar in case you are in the market! We also found a cute wastebasket with the same woven natural design online at Target for under $25!

When designing a room, I always find that paint/wall paper, lighting fixtures are the biggest design bang for your buck! I found this awesome Nordic inspired lighting fixture pendant on Amazon to put in her room and I love the way it turned out in here. Tap here to see current price on Amazon.

We put the cute rocking horse that grandpa had made for Audrey in the corner! He modeled it after this white wooden rocking horse I sent him as an idea of what we wanted in her nursery! He did an amazing job making it & I love that it’s now a family heirloom we can continue to pass down in the family.

Also, I highly recommend splurging and getting a comfy recliner/rocking chair that you can move out of the nursery after your kids don’t need it! Ours is a La-Z-Boy, but this chair is super similar option that had great reviews. I have loved using it in our living room until we needed it in the nursery again. Trust me on this one, you’ll spend lots of time there between night feedings, reading books before bed & of course lots of snuggles!!

We found these cute white curtains on Amazon & hooked blackout curtains behind them to make it super dark for naps & nighttime. We also added a Hatch baby to the side table. It’s my favorite night light + sound machine in one! I love that the time/colors/sounds are customizable & able to edit on my phone through Bluetooth! I set it on amber at night & it gives a subtle glow so I don’t stumble around in the middle of the night. Tap here to see current price on Amazon.
