25 Week Bumpdate & Baby Pro #2 Name Reveal

25 week bumpdate

Thanks for following along on our pregnancy journey! Here’s an update from our little corner of the world!

Baby update: In our most recent ultrasound at 21 weeks, we were able to see all of his little body, spine, heart, and other bones. He has really long legs and he even flexed his bicep for us! He moved around so much that it was hard to get a decent profile shot! Right now he is around 10.5-11.8 inches and weighs about a pound and a half. That’s about the size of a cantaloupe, but even more sweet! 🙂 At 25 weeks he is also growing more hair – and if we could see it, we would now be able to discern its color and texture! I can’t wait to see what he looks like!

Sooo… What is baby Pro’s name going to be?

After much going back and forth, we have decided on baby number two’s name!!! Drum roll please…

His name will be John William!

It’s got a nice ring to it, if I do say so myself! 🙂 John William (called by both) is so special because Tyler’s dad is named John and my dad’s name is William. Two of the most loving, fun, gracious and strong men of the Lord in our family. The name meaning is also really powerful (I love name meanings!) and that helped confirm the decision. The meaning of John is “God is gracious” and William means “resolute protector.” It is Tyler & my hope that John William will experience God’s goodness and grace and that he will be a strong defender/protector for those around him. We hope he follows in both his granddads steps! It’s so fun being to refer to him by his name instead of “baby pro #2.” Ha!

Bump: I feel like I really popped around 22 weeks and I definitely feel that he is growing at a more rapid pace every week. Luckily, I have found a trendy online boutique for cute maternity clothes that is helping to style my bump! I am loving every item I receive from Pink Blush @shoppinkblush. Even though this top is considered “maternity,” I love that it doesn’t look like a typical maternity shirt and feel that it could be worn after pregnancy as well! I love everything MINT and FLORAL, so of course I felt like this top was meant for me! Hello, spring!

Some looks from my favorite shop to style this “bump”

Love the pockets, too!

I love the quality, colors, style and the versatility of their clothes! Not only are their clothes perfect for my growing bump, they are also great for chasing around a toddler everyday! You can shop my top here!

Favorite moment of the week: Attending the premiere of Sampson at Sight and Sound theater with our dear friends Brooke and Sam! We were able to have some time to enjoy one another, eat great food and see a wonderful show! True VIP treatment

Miss anything? I miss being able to button my pants. 😛 But I did find this awesome belly band that allows me to keep wearing my regular jeans and it helps to hold them in place! I wish I would have known about these during my first pregnancy!

Movement: I feel him mostly when I am sitting or lying down still. Pretty sure we are on opposite sleep schedules. 😛
Cravings? Not as much as I did with our Gracie girl!!
Sickness? Not since 2nd trimester started around 13 weeks!
Gender prediction: ITS A BOY! We had so much fun at our gender reveal party! You can see the pictures from our reveal here.
Mood/energy: Very good
Diet/Weight: Still leading Pound and PiYo workouts and teaching tap and stretch at a local studio. This is helping to keep me in shape and stay flexible! I was able to teach Piyo twice a week until about 38 weeks last pregnancy! So I will just continue to listen to my body and go as long as it is still comfortable! I’m not sure what my weight is right now, but I’ll know at my next appointment! Eating normal and feeling great!
Looking forward to: Audrey Grace’s second birthday!!! She has been on a constant rotation of wearing her Ana and Elsa dresses (characters from Frozen) so naturally we are having a Frozen themed birthday with our close friends and family!
Thankful for: My sweet husband who has been taking such great care of this Preggo wife 🙂 He is truly a rock star and it is so fun to experience this season together. I can’t wait to see him as a father of two. He is already such an amazing father to Audrey Grace. Talk about melting this mamas heart!!! 14 more weeks till we’re a family of five (gotta include our fur baby, Darling!) 😉
Until next time,
Dorothy & John William
