Maternity Photos and John William Update (5 Weeks Left!)

I love new seasons, new blooms, and new life. All of which are happening all around me. I am trying to soak in the time with just me and my girl. I know it’s the quiet before the storm. A really great storm… but definite whirlwind nonetheless with welcoming a new little guy into our squad. We have 5 weeks left!

This season is a time of preparation, change and waiting. Our prayer lately has been to keep God the center of our lives, rely on Him for daily strength and grace, and to prepare our hearts to raise our little ones up in Him. We pray that John William will truly love God with his heart, soul and strength and that he will love others as he loves himself. Children are such a blessing, and while it can be very challenging at times, it is beyond worth it. “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!” We are very blessed to have our second little “arrow” coming soon, and know that they really do fill our lives with such joy!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of our recent maternity and family photos. I am beyond thrilled in the way they turned out and thankful for our dear friend Sam at Sam Midkiff Photography for capturing this special time in our lives. You can find his website here or check out his work on instagram @sammidkiffphoto.

Again, a huge shoutout and thank you to Sam and Brooke Midkiff! Brooke assisted with the kiddos while Sam did a great job taking pictures! If you ever need any pictures done, we highly recommend!

This picture pretty much summarizes how we feel about welcoming a new family member in about a month! (HA!)

So beyond thankful for the many people who have showered us with love and prayers during this season of life. It’s a whirlwind for sure, but we are excited and rejoicing in the Lord for the life growing inside me.

Thanks for coming along our journey.

XOXO, Dorothy
